Hurricane IKE (9/11/2008)
Note to all that I will be staying in the area as will my father for Hurricane IKE as we are essential personnel. I will keep everyone posted as I can and if I have access to the Internet. As of now we are expecting to take a near direct hit. Starting tomorrow (Friday 9/12/08) we should start experiencing 35+ mph winds around 10 am with an increase to 65+ around 8 pm tomorrow night. Starting somewhere near midnight until the early morning hours we are expecting Hurricane Force winds (100+ mph) as IKE makes landfall. If anyone who does this job tells you they aren’t scared they are lying!! Please keep us in your thoughts and I look forward to this whole thing passing through. I have had butterflies in my stomach all day…..Its nauseating but we must all do what we have to!! Love ya all!!

In the wake of this Storm I surely hope no one forgot what was important about this day and will always be!! 7 years ago today we as Americans were put to the test and paid the ultimate sacrifice. This sacrifice still rages on today and the fight is far from over. God Bless Our Troops, this Country, and all those past and present who will lay their lives down for this beautiful Country in which we live!! God Bless America!!!!!!!!!!!!!
